Local Band Assisting West Hartford Food Pantry

Lonesome Eddie & the Bird Dogs is collecting non-perishable food at their upcoming performance at the Prospect Café.

They call themselves “The Hardest Working Band in West Hartford,” and for this performance, Lonesome Eddie & the Bird Dogs will be working hard on behalf of the West Hartford Food Pantry.

On July 23, Lonesome Eddie & the Bird Dogs will perform from 7-10 p.m. at the Prospect Café, at the corner of Prospect Avenue and Park Road in West Hartford. The band is urging all patrons to bring a non-perishable food item to donate to the West Hartford Food Pantry.

“The West Hartford Food Bank is extremely low on donations at this time of year. You folks were wonderful in your efforts last year to help build up the stock and we want to try to outdo last year’s donations,” said band member Ed Carr.
