Good morning, West Hartford. Today is Monday, Aug. 19, 2013; there are 134 days left in the year.
Typically I lead off this feature with some sort of jokey anecdote.
However, in light of recent developments at Patch, I am instead reserving this space just to acknowledge the incredible work that Ronni Newton did during her tenure as the local editor in West Hartford and as associate regional editor.
Ronni isn’t just a former colleague, she is a friend.
Going forward, the West Hartford Patch will continue to provide coverage of all the things that make the town great.
If you any have any questions or concerns, feel free to reach out to me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Here are some things going on this week:
1. There are no meetings this week. So that means I’m going to party.
2. There is nothing funny about OCD. Hartford Hospital on Sept. 20 is looking for people to take part in a study on the disorder.
3. West Hartford Toastmasters on Aug. 20 at 5:30 p.m.
4. Funky Bubble Monogram Workshop at the Claypen on Aug. 21 at 6 p.m.5. Cultural Care Kids fundraiser at Sweet Frog on Aug. 20 at 6 p.m.
