The baby is eating solid food right now and he’s actually more coordinated than the old man when it comes to getting it in his mouth.

1. Chanukah starts on Wednesday. To those who celebrate, HAPPY CHANUKAH!

2. Thanksgiving is Thursday. Have a happy and safe holiday, everyone.

3. In case you missed it, Small Business Saturday takes place this week. This is not a commentary against big chain stores. I go to Target and Walmart, among others, as much as the next person. But small businesses are indeed an essential part of the community. Please consider shopping as much as possible in your local small businesses.

4. A light meeting week: the risk management advisory board, the conservation and environment commission and library board all meet on Monday.

5. Another ICYMI, the Hall-Conard football game was played for the first time under the lights last Friday. And it was everything one could have hoped it was. Here are three stories that I wrote out of that game:
