Ramp up your workouts with these 3 simple tips

I love these simple tips I recently read on PopSugar.com from fitness trainer and healthy chef Katy Clark to help ramp up your exercise routine to see real changes in your body (and couldn't help think that each tip is incorporated in our WIP workouts).

1. Re-access your workouts - "You need to be sweating, you need to be breathing heavy, or you need to be sore the next day."  Any form of exercise is good, but if you aren't achieving one of these three points in your current workouts, you can't expect a real change.

2. Be Consistent - You need to put in the effort.  At WIP we recommend clients come in 2-3 times a week to reach maximum results. Classes run 50 minutes, you can get in and out in an hour and you get a killer workout (with enough time left to run to Target or the grocery store).   Commit 3 hours a week to yourself and you will feel physically and mentally stronger.

3. Use weights -  Each total body workout at WIP incorporates some form of strength training.  Challenge yourself with heavier weights or a stronger resistance band and see how many reps you can do.  Even if it's only a few, remember your number and do a few more each time.  It's exciting to see your body get stronger and achieve a goal in the gym, which will impact the way you look and feel.

Follow these tips and you WILL see your body change in no time.
