As part of the Hartt School of the University of Hartford, the Hartt School Community Division provides music and…More dance instruction for students of all ages and levels of mastery. It serves more than 2,100 students throughout its four locations in Connecticut.</p> <p>The Hartt School Community Division aims to help students develop and maintain a love of the arts, to provide training and opportunities for performing and to provide adults with an outlet for dance and music, regardless of prior experience. Its programs include class and individual instruction, theory classes, master classes, performance opportunities, ensemble experiences and more. The school encourages students to explore more than one activity at a time, so that students may develop in a well-rounded way.</p> <p>The school is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Pre-Collegiate Arts Schools. It is a member of Chamber Music America, Suzuki Association of the Americas and American Symphony Orchestra League.</p> <p>The Hartt School Community Division's dance department is directed by experienced dancers, offering a range of classes for students of all ages including, toddler and Pre-K, children's, Open, Foundation and Pre-Professional programs exploring ballet, jazz, tap, hip hop, cultural and modern dance. </p>
