It is supported by theMore West Hartford Department of Social Services, the Board of Education, Hopeworks, Westminster Church and the Bridge Family Center. Programs include an after-school homework effort, a parent group, middle-school social skills development and The West Hartford Board of Education Post Graduate Special Needs project. Social workers provide assessment, information, referrals and assistance to families on food, clothing, child care, finances, transportation, job training, careers, mental health and substance abuse.

Beth David Synagogue

Beth David Synagogue was founded in 1943 and is the oldest orthodox congregation in the area. It is also the largestMore orthodox synagogue in the greater Hartford area and welcomes both Ashkenazi and Sephardic members. It has been "a center of Jewish cultural and spiritual activity for hundreds of families, thousands of people and untold numbers of visitors and friends." Daily minyan is held morning and night. Religious school classes, adult education and youth groups are offered. Beth David is an affiliated congregation with the Orthodox Union. Rabbi Yitzchok Adler has been the spiritual leader since 1995.
