The University of Hartford was founded in 1957 as a merger of the Hartford Art School, the Hartt School of Music and…More Hillyer College. The university offers nearly 90 undergraduate majors and 30 graduate degree programs. The school boasts a Division 1 athletics program involving 18 sports.</p> <p>Undergraduates number about 4,700 on campus, with another 800 part-time undergraduates and 1,700 graduate students. Students come from about 45 states and 49 countries.</p> <p>Divisions of the school include the Barney School of Business; the College of Arts and Sciences; the College of Education, Nursing and Health Professions; the Hartford Art School; the Hartt School; and Hillyer College.</p>
