Homegrown West Hartford-ite, now all grown up (relatively). Studied English and Education with a focus on Gender Studies at Boston College. Spent the 2010-11 school year living in France as English teacher, demonstrating to French youngsters how to produce the "th" sound. Learned many valuable life lessons there, namely that American bread and cheese are disgusting... among other more useful insights. 

My interests include women's and gender issues, education, the arts, literature, francophone cultures, & basset hounds. Some people have road rage; I have media rage. I used to think Weha's anthem should be "Rockin' the Suburbs" by Ben Folds, but I've recently determined that "This Must Be the Place" by the Talking Heads is a much more appropriate choice, for reasons of both tone and content.
