Last week's question was "Where Is This House?" and the lone comment was from Jeff Murray. "Flagg Road in the north section of West Hartford. Perhaps near where Westmoor Park is now," was his guess.

Although Jeff was not quite right about the location, he got the neighborhood right!

According to the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society, "The house is located at 1558 Albany Avenue which sits on the hill just west of Staples at Bishops Corner. Walter E. Mallory, the agency secretary at the Travelers moved his family there in 1926. Albany Avenue was not even paved west of Main Street at the time.  When he bought the property from a Mr. Kolb, he was pleased to know that the house carried the name Rosemary as that was his mother's name."
