Last week we asked: "Where Was This House?" and we got three different guesses. Elizabeth thought it was 208 North Main Street, view from the back of the house. Bill Quigg thought it on South Main St., and Lew Block thought it was the Benjamin Colton House at 25 Sedgwick Rd.

Elizabeth's answer is the closest, although we are not sure if that is the correct street number. The official answer from the Noah Webster House and West Hartford Historical Society is: "The Bidwell-Mix house was located on North Main St. and was built at three different time periods. In 1924, despite being designated an important architectural gem, the house was replaced with a modern dwelling."
