Last week's question was: "What Was Located in This Building?" and each of the three comments that provided added a bit more to the history of the image.

"Looks like the old Beach Park School on Steele Rd....," wrote John Maloney.

"This is the School for Young Children now. In the seventies, it was a school for children with serious developmental problems," added Lisa B.

Sarah Glynn had some personal memories. "The current school used to be housed in a basement of St. Joseph College's buildings. I attended in 1964!" she commented.

The official answer from the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society is: "This is the Beach Park Kindergarten and Primary School which opened in 1926. The land was given to the town by T. Belknap Beach with the understanding that a school be built on it. The school closed in 1973 and was sold to St. Joseph College in 1999 and became the new location for the School for Young Children."
