Last week we asked "Where Was This Store?" and perhaps for the first time ever, no one commented. Was the question so obscure that no one even dared guess, or is it that Patch readers have not yet gotten used to the new platform?

We certainly want to hear from you this week! Just scroll down to the bottom of this post and click the big green button that says "Post comment"! Be sure to read the question carefully, because the answer is not obvious. As always, you have to be signed in.

The official answer to last week's question, courtesy of the Noah Webster House & West Hartford Historical Society, is: "Buckland’s was the first general store in town. In 1856 LeonardBuckland bought the hardware store located on the site of the present library. He moved the storeacross the stree to the southwest corner of Farmington Ave. and South Main street and turned itinto a grocery store. It was there until about 1880."
