Jillian Gardner, Organist in Recital

Up-and-coming organist Jillian Gardner brings her unique talent to the Cathedral of Saint Joseph, performing a short program between the regularly scheduled Sunday masses. Her recital will include Guilmant’s Introduction et Allegro from the First Sonata, Vierne’s Cathédrales, and Barber’s Adagio for Strings transcribed for organ. Ms. Gardner recently won the first place award in Buffalo, New York’s AGO chapter competition. She is in her junior year at Oberlin College and Conservatory, pursuing a degree in organ performance under the tutelage of noted recitalist and organ professor James David Christie.

There is no admission charge for concerts at the Cathedral. A free-will offering will be gratefully accepted. There is ample secure parking for all concert events. For more information, visit http://www.cathedralofsaintjoseph.com/music-sacredsounds.html or call (860) 578-1433.
