WEST HARTFORD, CT- Playhouse on Park kicks off its Young
Audiences season with The Main Street
Kids’ Club: A MathStart Musical! Inspired
by the award-winning book series by Stuart J. Murphy, this tale of adventure,
friendship and math was written by the amazingly talented Scott Ferguson
(“Schoolhouse Rock Live!”) with a toe-tapping score by Michael Mahler. The
Main Street Kids’ Club (aka M.S.K.C), a cool kids’ club that follows the motto,
“Math skills = Life skills!” Toby, the “new kid in town,” desperately wants to
join. When he finds a 50-year-old treasure map, he sees a chance to prove
himself. With stories that focus on a different mathematical concept, this
musical promises to be educational and entertaining for all ages!
The Main Street Kids’ Club: A MathStart Musical runs November 16th
through November 24th. Performances will be at 1 pm and 4 pm Saturdays
and Sundays, and at 10 am and 2:30 pm Wednesday, November 20th. The
