On Saturday, May 10, 2014, future astronauts and young scientists will enjoy participatory activities that include storytelling, exploring the lunar sensory box, creating moon craters and launching soda straw rockets. Visitors will have the chance to take a photo in a special astronaut photo-suit before boarding the Travelers Science Dome Planetarium for a trip to the moon with a cat named Larry, through the solar system in a cardboard rocket, or race back to the Moon with teams competing for the Google Lunar X Prize.

Visitors will learn how to use a star map to find constellations in the night sky. Weather permitting, a special telescope will provide safe viewing of the sun and a view of the first quarter moon.
