Hall Interim Principal to Take Newtown Position

Tom Einhorn, who has been interim principal at Hall High School since late Septmber 2012, has been appointed principal of Newtown Middle School.

In a release distributed in Newtown and quoted on Newtown Patch, West Hartford Assistant Superintendent Tom Moore said of Einhorn, "Tom is the go-to person, the one you can always count on to wisely counsel an appropriate course of action."

Einhorn's background is as a special education teacher, and he worked as an administrator in West Hartford for 11 years, according to the release. He stepped in as interim principal at Hall when Dr. Donald Slater took the job of chief operating officer of Hartford Public Schools in late September.

Daniel Zittoun, an assistant principal from Daniel Hand High School in Madison, was named Hall High School principal on April 9, and will assume the position on July 1.
