1. Uh, you may have heard that school starts on Aug. 28. Where did the summer go?

3. Barcelona is teaching people how to prepare seafood at 7 p.m. on Tuesday. You want me near that not at all. I can burn water.

4. Ice Cream Social at Ben & Jerry’s to benefit Emanuel Synagogue Scholarship Fund on Aug. 27 at 6 p.m.

5. West Hartford Women in Networking has a program using business to create social change on Aug. 29 at 7:30 a.m.
